The lads secured a place in the Senior Quarter Finals with a two point win over Bornacoola in Pairc Séan on Saturday evening. We had great support at the game Saturday evening, and now await the Quarter Final draw next weekend!
The U14's lost out to Aughavas in the park on Friday evening, and the County U16's came up three points short in the Ted Webb Cup Final on Saturday in Claremorris.
Fenagh/Gortletteragh set out to defend their Minor Championship with a first round game against St Francis in Fenagh this evening Wednesday. Best of luck to the lads and their management team, support for the lads as always much appreciated!

We would like to congratulate everyone involved with the Drumgownagh School Reunion on a fantastic weekend of events to celebrate the Gathering 2013. Some great nights were had over the weekend and the commemorative book is a brilliantly put together look back on times gone by! Senior championship was back with a bang this weekend as we pulled off a one point win against Aughawillan in Cloone on Sunday afternoon. The game was finely poised with a point in it at half time but a second half consisting of two penalties, a last minute free and an injury time goal ensured a dramatic finish. Weekend FixturesIt's a do or die derby game vs Bornacoola in the Senior Championship on Saturday evening in Pairc Sean at 6pm. U14 championship continues on Friday evening, the lads have two wins and two losses and host Aughavas in the park. Support was great last weekend hope to see lots of support for both teams this weekend.
Well Done to the County U16 panel on some excellent recent displays which have seen them through to the final of the Ted Webb Cup on Bank holiday Monday evening, they also are participating in the Fr Manning Cup. We are represented by Jack Heslin, Keoghan McGovern, James Heslin and Dylan Ward on the panel and Shane Heslin on the management team. Best of luck lads and support for the team would be brilliant.
Drumgowna School Reunion
The Drumgowna School reunion takes place this weekend in what's promising to be a memorable three days with events planned across the weekend. We wish the event organising committe the very best this weekend and hope everyone who is coming home to the celebrations this weekend has a brilliant time!

The Senior team lost out by the narrowest of margins of a point away to Drumreilly last weekend in Division 1, while the U14 boys recorded a win at home to St Osnatt's on Friday evening last.
Championship is back in full swing and the Seniors are out in action against Aughawillan in Cloone on Sunday morning at 12 noon. hope to see a big crowd out supporting the lads.
Leo Kenny Cup
We came out on top against Glencar Manorhamilton in the Leo Kenny Cup last Tuesday and progress to play Elphin in the semi final.. no time or date for this game yet so stay tuned.
Lucozade Club Crusade
We are involved in the Lucozade Club Crusade, an initiative whereby we can obtain gear and training supplies by collecting caps from bottles of Lucozade Sport! If you want to help the club out with this any lucozade sports caps you collect can be dropped off at the park or contact Darren on 087 6483219 for more info.
Our Junior A team lost out to a livelier Aughavas side in Division 3 on Sunday morning, Leitrim exited the championship on Saturday at the hands of Armagh in Pairc Seán.
Division 1 action resumes this weekend and the lads will play Drumreilly away on Saturday evening at 8pm.
Leo Kenny Cup
The lads had a one point win over St Marys in the Leo Kenny Connacht Cup last Tuesday , they played Glencar manor in the quarter final last night.
U 14 Championship
The lads were minus a few as they lost their secon game to Kiltubrid lat Friday. They play St Osnatt's at home on Friday evening.

The Junior A team got their championship campaign back on track with a draw against Drumkeerin in Pairc Seán on Saturday evening. Second half goals from Gavin Mitchell and Seamus Prunty coupled with some fine saves from Niall Tiernan and an equalising point from Peadar Cassells means we shared the spoils 2-8 apiece. Heartbreak for Leitrim in the Hyde on Sunday as the lads came a point short of forcing extra time in what would have been a courageous comeback. Hard Luck to Cathal, Ciarán and the rest of the team and management. The team now take to the qualifiers where Armagh will make the trip to Páirc Seán on the 13th of July.
Our last Junior A Group Stage game vs Ballinamore tops the fixtures bill this weekend, check fixtures for time and date. We are away to the winners of St Mary's and Castlerea St Kevins in the Leo Kenny Connacht Cup next Tuesday the 9th at 7.30. Check the club website for more fixtures news for this weekend.

Tour de Parish 2013
We had a great crowd out in force at the park on Sunday morning for our sponsored 25km cycle. All our cyclists leaving the park and making their way around the parish was a great sight to behold! We would like to thank everyone who participated in making the cycle a huge success, our stewards who kept everyone on the right route and kept the bottles of water near at hand, Declan Gaffney for capturing the event on camera, to everyone who provided refreshments at the community centre after the cycle and of course everyone who got on a bike and took part in the cycle! We're already making plans for next year! Check the club Facebook page and website for pictures from the cycle. Anybody who still has their sponsorship cards can return them to any executive member.
No club games to report from last weekend. A loss for the County Minors in Castlebar last Saturday means Leitrim's Connacht Minor Campaign comes to an end. David Mulvey made an appearance off the bench for the team. The Seniors came back to draw against a resilient London team in Pairc Seán on Sunday, Cathal McCrann and Ciarán Egan were our clubmen on duty on the day,
The Junior A Championship recommences next weekend and we play Drumkeerin in Páirc Seán on Saurday evening at 5pm. It's off to the Hyde in Roscommon on Sunday for the Leitrim vs London replay, throw in is at 3.40pm
The U14 Ladies finished their championship campaign yesterday evening with a game against St. Josephs. The U8 and U10 teams host Fenagh this Saturday at 10.30 for a blitz competition and the U14 hurlers take part in the county blitz at 12 noon this Saturday in Carrick on Shannon
Our club draws for April, May and June will be held this Sunday in the Welcome Inn, Cornageeha.
Tour De Parish 2013
We are holding our fundraising 25km 'Tour de Parish' this weekend on Sunday morning. We're starting out from the park at 9.30am, and the cycle is open to all ages so we hope that lots of you will come out and get the day started with a cycle before the big game in Pairc Seán. There'll be refreshments in the community centre after the cycle also! Sponsorship cards are out and can be got from any club executive member. The most anticipated weekend since New York has finally arrived. We like to wish Cathal, Ciarán and the Senior team and management the best of luck in Pairc Seán on Sunday. The Seniors and Juniors got back on track with wins in the league this weekend. On Monday the Juniors overcame Annaduff in Division 3 and on Sunday the Seniors had a 1-9 to 0-9 win over KIltubrid at home.
Shield games resume this weekend and we play Carrigallen at home on Sunday, throw in 12pm.

Plenty of underage action this last few days with wins for both the schoolboys and schoolgirls in Cumann na mBunscoil action and also seen plenty of games at the Myles McDonagh Memorial Blitz in Monivea, Co. Galway, on Saturday and the Turlough Conefrey Memorial tournament in Aughavas on Sunday. More on these next week!
Hard luck to the U16 boys who lost out to Aughnasheelin in the U16 Division 2 League Final last Thursday on a scoreline of 0-09 to 0-06. The Lads racked up some serious scores en route to the final and we're no doubt ye'll have it right come Championship.

A minutes silence was observed prior to throw in at our Division 1 game this weekend in honor of Sinead.
